Adrian Jewell Manspeaker

WINEMAKER/CEO

Having grown up on the fog-shrouded north coast of California, Adrian Manspeaker always felt a deep connection to that part of the world, and its complicated patchwork of micro-climates. When he moved to Sonoma County, Adrian’s countryside upbringing sparked his interest in the story behind each glass – the origin and evolution from vineyard to barrel and bottle.

His wine country location allowed him to dive head first into the topic, studying winemaking and viticulture at UC Davis’s renowned extension program, and taking courses on business management on the side. He put theory into practice at C. Donatiello for the 2007 crush, and lent a hand to Peay Vineyards during the busiest time of the 2008 harvest.

Around this time Adrian teamed up with another passionate, determined young winemaker – his close friend Micah Wirth. The two became business partners, pooling their networks and resources to build their own wine company dedicated to capturing the unique terroir of single-vineyard sites. Adrian’s intense drive and commitment are apparent in every detail of his work, from the relationships with growers, to the labels and bottles, and ultimately the sharing of the finished product. When he moved to Sonoma County, Adrian’s countryside upbringing sparked his interest in the story behind each glass – the origin and evolution from vineyard to barrel and bottle.
