Appian Way Vineyards is just outside of the town of Forestville. Up until 2001 the vineyard site was an organic apple orchard. The orchard was removed and 3 different clones of Pinot Noir grapes where planted in 2001. Clones 115, 777 and Pommard make up this two acre vineyard. The vines sit in what is known as Goldridge soil, a fine sandy loam, a well draining soil. The vineyard is owned by Tom and Kelly Keegan. Over dinner we convinced Tom that we would treat his fruit with the upmost care. We are very fortunate to have this vineyard in our portfolio.
