Floodgate Vineyard is located in an area of Russian River Valley referred to as the “Middle Reach.” This Vineyard is also owned by Hambrecht Vineyards and farmed by Warren Burton. We source fruit from three different blocks in this vineyard, block 12 planted to 777, block 6 planted to clone 667 and block 7B planted to clone 115. This vineyard is located next to Mark West Creek which floods every year and submerges the flat areas of the vineyard, hence the name! This wine is currently ageing in French oak barrels.
