12 Jun Jewell Box: June 2019 – Seasonal Pairings by the Joseph Jewell Team
Wine brings people together and, when paired properly, creates an experience unlike any other. Recently, Adrian asked his team to select a wine from the current releases and create a dish that would bring wine, food, and people together. The results were somewhat surprising, very unique, and overall, wonderful reflections of the versatility of Joseph Jewell wines.
Below are the three pairings with the tasting notes and recipe for each pairing. We invite you to try them for yourself and tag us in your social posts with #JosephJewellPairing. You may also purchase these wines in packs of 3, 6 or 12 here.

Braised Thai Oxtail
2015 Pinot Noir, Bucher Vineyard, Russian River Valley
This dynamic pairing, submitted by Lily, highlights the beauty of a great wine paired with carefully selected meat. The earthy aromas that our Bucher Pinot Noir is known for are perfectly matched with the earthiness of grass-fed beef. The spices and caramelization of the dish highlight the deeper red fruit in the wine and make for a pairing that is unique and elegant.
